Francisco is a PhD Architect and, as a Land Planning Of Counsel Advisor, he directly advises the head of Fitzwilliam Real Estate team.  He advises on all aspects of planning, compulsory purchase, and related areas of land planning. This is a response to our firm believe that ideas can flow more freely when lawyers and land planning architects work together creatively from the beginning of a project.

After graduating from the prestigious University of Seville of Architecture and City Planning he held a PhD in Urban Planning. He has broad experience in every aspect of urban planning in the region of Andalucia.

Over the past four decades Francisco has established a particular track record in the Costa del Sol working both in the public and private sector. Most notably working as in house architect in various of the most important town councils in the area. He has also developed his profession by funding his own architecture and land planning studio where he has been responsible for a strikingly wide range of work, from urban masterplans to reparcelling projects.

His work now extends to significant regeneration and development projects, assessing the Fitzwilliam Real Estate team when acting for developers, public authorities, funders and occupiers. He ensures that the team can see all sides of the argument when proposing strategies and negotiating solutions.

Francisco has a particular specialism for dealing with:

  • Strategic planning advice;
  • Major development projects;
  • Major reparcelling projects (reparcelación)
  • Planning audits and due diligence; and
  • Planning appeals and inquiries

He is particularly focused on new and emerging areas of planning law and has written extensively about it.

Francisco is a proud member of the Málaga Architects Association.
